Rangers' Goodrow Scores OT Winner, Out A Month With Jaw Injury
Goodrow's goal lifts Rangers to 2-1 win over Flyers
Forward on liquid diet after taking puck to the face
NEW YORK -- Barclay Goodrow scored at 14:01 of overtime and the New York Rangers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Tuesday night.
Goodrow, who missed Saturday's game against the Capitals but suited back up, redirected Jacob Trouba's shot past Carter Hart for his fifth goal of the season.
The jarring injury that Goodrow described as "fluky" resulted in a variety of medical issues and caused him to lose a piece of his jaw, which required surgery.
Barclay Goodrow said he is on a strictly liquid diet for a month after taking a puck to the face a week ago in Ottawa.
