Detmers Sent Back to Triple-A After Short Stay in Majors

The Los Angeles Angels have recalled left-handed pitcher Reid Detmers from Triple-A Salt Lake and are considering implementing a six-man starting rotation.

Detmers, 23, made his major league debut on May 10 and started three games for the Angels before being optioned back to the minors on May 24.

In three starts with the Angels, Detmers went 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA. He struck out 12 batters and walked six in 15 innings pitched.
