Kansas State Football: Preview and Depth Chart vs. Arizona
Can the Kansas State Wildcats defense stop the Arizona Wildcats offense?
The Kansas State Wildcats (2-0) will travel to Tucson, Arizona to take on the Arizona Wildcats (1-1) on Saturday, September 17th. The Wildcats are coming off a impressive 52-21 win over Southern Utah last week, while the Wildcats are coming off of a tough 35-24 loss to the Stanford Cardinal.
The Wildcats' defense will need to be at their best to stop the Arizona offense, which is led by quarterback Khalil Tate. Tate is one of the most dynamic players in the country and can make plays with his arm and his legs. He has thrown for 1,021 yards and eight touchdowns this season, and he has also rushed for 260 yards and three touchdowns.
The Cats' defense has played really well in the first two weeks of the season, allowing just 17 points per game. Defensive coordinator Scottie Hazelton has his unit playing with great confidence and swagger, and they will need to continue to play at a high level against Arizona.
